Everton have again been linked with Rico Lewis today, with the defender’s Manchester City days looking numbered.
Everton’s summer has started to get going, with a deal agreed for Hayden Hackney.
Talks are in progress with Chelsea over the permanent transfer of Tyrique George, who has apparently given the green light to return to Hill Dickinson Stadium after his loan. Everton are currently trying to sign him for less than the initial £25 million buy option.
If you were Angus Kinnear who would you be going all out for this summer? 💰
But many fans are optimistic that both full-back positions will be strengthened.
Right-back is a priority, and earlier this year Lewis was linked with a move to Everton.
That interest has today been reiterated, and it has to be said, this would be one of the more surprising moves by Moyes.
Rico Lewis goes against David Moyes’ typically favoured traits
TEAMtalk have reported on Lewis’ future again today, with the claim being that City are prepared to let him leave.
They’ve been linked with the likes of Malo Gusto and Marco Palestra, and seemingly Lewis is now surplus to requirements.

The article suggests several clubs, such as Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth, Fulham and Everton are all interested.
Everton’s interest is certainly very intriguing.
Because we have all seen the kind of player that David Moyes likes to use.
His current Everton team is built on physicality, with his starting XIs usually containing a large handful of players over 6ft tall.
His Toffees squad has been one of the tallest in the Premier League in terms of average height, so a move for Lewis would be quite surprising.
He is only 5ft 7in. If he joined, he would be Everton’s shortest player.
Lewis is most definitely not known for his physicality. But since breaking through at City, he has shown himself to be a solid technician.
Pep Guardiola famously admitted Lewis was one of the best players he ever trained, saying (via mancity.com): “To find a player like him playing in the pockets, how he has to move in holding midfield, full-back coming inside moving in the spaces – he is one of the best I ever trained by far.”

We will see if Everton decide to make an approach, but it would certainly be a shift by Moyes if he was ordering a pursuit of Lewis.
Depending on the asking price, he could be a good addition for Everton.
That said, he is not necessarily a player who’ll be swashbuckling and getting into the opposition box too often.
