Everton fans are hoping for a big 2025, with optimism high following the takeover by The Friedkin Group.
The Toffees are finally under new ownership, and the club will of course move into the new stadium after this current season.
But at the moment, Everton are fighting to preserve their Premier League status, and sit just two points above the relegation zone.
It’s been a tough old season so far, with the main issues coming in the final third.
Everton have produced a string of good defensive performances and generally have looked quite well-organised. But up top, the quality just hasn’t been there.
The pressure has been cranking up on manager Sean Dyche. But The Friedkin Group are backing Dyche for the time being – a stance that has worried some.
The feeling for some is that if Everton do not improve drastically in the final third, then relegation could be on the cards.
The notion is that it is not sustainable to continue playing as they are, with Everton clearly unable to outscore most teams they come up against. Wolves were the exception.

Everton fans think Lee Carsley could replace Sean Dyche

On social media, there has been more talk about Dyche’s position as manager.
The latest 2-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest was really poor, with there being a stark contrast between the two teams.
Forest were just superior in all aspects, and were much better in the final third.
Some have suggested that Lee Carsley – who recently ended his spell as caretaker manager of England – could make for a good replacement for Dyche.
Carlsley has now gone back to working with the England U21s, but impressed when he took the seniors and some Everton fans wish TFG would consider him.
TFG should consider Carsley in the summer
While things are looking bleak right now under Dyche, it’s possible that TFG moving for Carsley now would be the wrong decision.
At the end of the day, he doesn’t have Premier League experience, and it would be a risk appointing him for a potential relegation battle.
But he’s someone TFG should consider in the summer, and hopefully Everton will still be a Premier League club.
Journalist Phil McNulty suggested that Carsley could be someone Everton move for in the future, and his situation may well be one to keep an eye on.
Of course, he knows the club having spent just over six years with the club as a player.
One would imagine youth would certainly be given a chance under Carsley if he became manager, after he handed the likes of Noni Madueke, Tino Livramento, Curtis Jones, Morgan Rogers, Morgan Gibbs-White, Angel Gomes, Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Lewis Hall their senior England debuts.
