Everton have a lot to do this summer – and one position that is on the agenda for strengthening is striker.
David Moyes did a terrific job after succeeding Sean Dyche back in January, guiding Everton to safety with ease in the end.
It is now about pushing on for Everton, and it is paramount that The Friedkin Group back the manager in their first major window as owners.
Everton are prioritising four positions at the moment, and one of those is a new striker position.
Speculation continues to swirl over Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and Armando Broja is heading back to his parent club Chelsea.
One player Everton are currently looking at to hand Beto cover or competition, is Villarreal’s Thierno Barry.
Barry has just enjoyed a really good season over in Spain, scoring 19 goals and making four assists in 41 appearances.
And now, Everton are reportedly looking to do something that is exciting fans on social media.
Everton fans excited as Everton ready to trigger Thierno Barry release clause

Everton’s interest in Barry was reported earlier this week.
It was then claimed that Villarreal would be willing to listen to offers for Barry.
But there is now potential for Everton to bypass the negotiating phase completely.
Because it has been claimed that Everton could now be willing to trigger the £33 million release clause of Barry.
And that willingness has gone down well with some Evertonians on social media.

Barry would be an exciting signing for Everton
This will be a really interesting transfer saga to watch unfold.
There is a lot of hype about Barry following his great season in 2024/25, but he is still quite raw at 22 years old.
But he is a real handful, and potentially could be a very good fit for Premier League football.
What will be intriguing is if Everton do move for Barry, what will happen to Beto.
The pair are quite similar in terms of physical profile, and it would be a lot of money for Everton to pay to use him as a second striker.
