Everton have a substantial budget at their disposal this summer.
The Friedkin Group have already shown at Roma that they’re willing to spend big and that’s promised to be the case at Everton this summer.
David Moyes has been assured of funds and is already reaching out to a number of transfer targets with the window now officially open.
Moyes held positive talks with Liam Delap recently, but the Ipswich Town frontman is now closing in on a move to Chelsea.
Everton have immediately turned their attention to Nick Woltemade, who Stuttgart value at around £34m following a 17-goal campaign.
A fresh rumour has emerged over the last 24 hours and fans have been so excited about it.

Everton fans so excited about potentially signing Matt O’Riley
Last night, it emerged that Everton are interested in signing Brighton’s Matt O’Riley this summer transfer window.
Everton are keen to add an attacking midfielder to their ranks and Moyes has identified the former Celtic man.
Fans have been reacting to the rumour on X, formerly known as Twitter, and they’re really excited about the possible transfer.
“Wow, dream signing. I would sell Branthwaite for this,” @jwmiddie posted.
“Kevin Thelwell’s buying on the dip approach living on I see, would like this a lot at that right fee,” @CharlieBarnicle added.
@controltheopp explained: “I’d love this signing, a top quality player, sad that he hasn’t done well at Brighton considering I loved him at Celtic, but I’d be more than happy to sign him (U£25M).”
“Why would they sell him or do they not play him? I’d f—— love him tbh,” @LiamT30EFC commented.
@Callum_Hughes0 said: “I would love him but I don’t see why they would sell.”
“Great player. Hope we get him,” @Gazala2 posted.
Everton would be signing a top player if they can replicate O’Riley’s Celtic form
It’s been a difficult season for O’Riley following his record-breaking £25m switch from Celtic last summer.
The 24-year-old started the season on the back foot after picking up an injury on his Brighton debut and hasn’t really been able to find any sort of rhythm since returning.
- 26 appearances
- 2 goals
- 4 assists
But, if Everton can get him back firing again and replicate the form he showed in his final season at Celtic, then they’d be signing a top player.
O’Riley registered a whopping 37 goal involvements and was widely regarded as one of the best players in Scottish Premiership history.
He had suitors all over the Premier League and Europe lining up for his signature, but the Seagulls managed to convince him to join their exciting project.
