Peter Crouch thinks Everton fans are going to really like Beto.
Speaking on TNT Sports, Crouch claimed the striker had shown ‘encouraging signs’ during Everton’s 2-2 draw with Sheffield United.
Beto bagged a debut goal against Doncaster Rovers in the Carabao Cup midweek and was handed his first start in the Premier League at Bramall Lane.
The 25-year-old put on a stellar performance despite not scoring this weekend, with Crouch admitting that his exceptional work-rate will go down very well on Merseyside.

When asked whether Beto will get the goals Everton need this season, Crouch said: “That’s exactly right. It’s difficult to stand here and say he’s going to get the goals to fire Everton out but what I did see today was some encouraging signs of him leading the line well.
“He’s going to unsettle defenders, he’s going to pull them in different directions and he’s going to make life difficult for them. He’s got a good attitude, I saw him working back and working hard. The Everton fans are going to take to that, they want players who want to give everything for the shirt and you can see he’s going to do that straight away.”

Beto needs to live up to expectations at Everton
Beto certainly caught the eye against Sheffield United as looked to constantly be hassling their backline, while it was his shot that earned the Toffees the corner to take the lead early on.

It’s yet to be seen whether the former Udinese forward can make the difference for Dyche’s side, though today’s display was certainly more promising than their previous three games in the Premier League.
