Youssef Chermiti leaving Everton could see a £15m target join before the transfer window slams shut on Monday.
David Moyes is hoping to get more signings through the door at Finch Farm in the remaining few days of the window.
Moyes is looking to add more quality in the attacking third after completing the signing of Tyler Dibling from Southampton.
With Chermiti likely joining Rangers, the Toffees are evidently short up front with just Thierno Barry and Beto as options.
So, Everton chiefs may look to reignite interest in a Championship forward they were eyeing earlier in the window.

Everton could now sign Mihailo Ivanovic after Youssef Chermiti transfer
Everton surely can’t go into a season with just two senior strikers at the club, so it would be very surprising if Moyes didn’t add another forward to the squad in the coming days.
The Toffees were looking at Millwall’s Mihailo Ivanovic earlier in the window after his impressive debut season in the Championship.
The 20-year-old, who joined Millwall from Serbian outfit FK Vojvodina Novi Sad last summer, netted a very commendable 12 goals in the second tier last term.
That’s alerted the likes of Wolves, Leicester City and Parma, but the Lions are demanding around £15m to sanction his sale.
Ivanovic’s profile would suit a Moyes’ side down to the ground, as he’s a tall and physical number nine that can link the play well.
Mihailo Ivanovic regarded as one of Europe’s best youngsters
Speaking after Ivanovic’s late winner against Portsmouth last season, Millwall manager Alex Neil said he’s one of the top 10 best talents in Europe.
“I’ve already seen something the other day talking about the top 10 young talents in Europe – he’s one of them.
“He’s 20 years of age, there are very few strikers at that age that will lead the line at this level and also score goals, so he deserves all the plaudits he gets.
“It was a particularly tight game today and I think physicality was the order of the day, hence the reason why I wasn’t making changes earlier because the players I was bringing on were all smaller.”
Ivanovic would be a really exciting addition for Everton and under Moyes’ stewardship, he could become a really good Premier League centre-forward.
