Everton fans are looking ahead to tonight’s game with Liverpool.
It is the final Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park, and Toffees fans are optimistic about a result tonight on what is a special occasion.
Everton are currently on a three-game winning run in the Premier League.
But David Moyes’ men were beaten 2-0 at the weekend in the FA Cup, which was not ideal heading into tonight’s game.
But one positive that emerged from that loss was the performance of Carlos Alcaraz.
Alcaraz joined Everton on transfer deadline day on loan from Flamengo, and then came off the bench on Saturday against the Cherries.
Jarrad Branthwaite enjoyed Alcaraz’s cameo against Bournemouth, and believes the South American can bring some dynamism to the team.

Everton fans think Carlos Alcaraz should start in place of Abdoulaye Doucoure against Liverpool

On social media, fans have been talking about the potential team that Moyes should field tonight against Liverpool.
And many feel that Alcaraz, having impressed against Bournemouth in the FA Cup defeat at the weekend, should be starting the game.
And some feel that the Argentine should come in at the expense of Abdoulaye Doucoure, who’s been playing as an advanced midfielder lately.
What Moyes has said about Alcaraz ahead of Liverpool
As well as these fans wanting Alcaraz to start, some have also expressed their concern about the idea.
It is a big occasion, and there is potential for things to get feisty and intense, and some reckon it might be better for Alcaraz to come on as a substitute rather than make his full debut.
Moyes spoke about Alcaraz in his press conference ahead of the Liverpool game, and wouldn’t really be drawn on whether the new signing would start.
He said: “Well, he did enough by his performance to start the game [vs Liverpool]. Whether I do or not is another thing.
“I think sometimes when you bring people in you never know how long it’s going to take to settle, and I’ve got to say he settled very well in the game.
“It was only one game, mind you. And the other thing is on his side he’s got Premier League experience. So, he’s not completely new to this league.”
“But the decision will be made tomorrow.”
Alcaraz would become just the fifth player to make his Premier League debut against Liverpool, if he does indeed get the nod from Moyes.
