The Everton faithful will hope that Carlos Alcaraz makes his first start as an Everton player in Wednesday night’s highly anticipated Merseyside derby.
Everton are hoping to provide a real blow to Liverpool’s Premier League title pursuit with a win in the final-ever derby at Goodison Park.
Robbie Fowler warned Everton that Liverpool will be frustrated after their 1-0 defeat to Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup on Sunday.
However, the Everton atmosphere will no doubt be unmatched as Toffees fans will hope to give Goodison a fond farewell to such a momentous occasion.
The atmosphere will be heightened if Alcaraz makes his debut and the midfielder can achieve something only four other players have done before.

The Argentine could join a rare selection of people to make their Premier League debut against Liverpool, as Alcaraz could become the fifth player alongside, Tyias Browning, Ibrahima Bakayoko, Glenn Keeley, and Neal Maupay.
For Everton fans’ sake, they hope Alcaraz doesn’t turn out like the last name on that list.

Everton fans were delighted with Alcaraz’s debut as the 22-year-old midfielder is destined to become a fan favourite at the Toffees.
In just 25 minutes you’d think the Argentine has been playing the whole season, with Paul Merson dubbing Alcaraz ‘very good’.
Well, Evertonians will be thrilled at the fact Alcaraz can make his league debut against Liverpool, but also after his performance against the Reds in the past.
On the final day of the 2022/23 season, Southampton drew emphatically with Liverpool 4-4, as 20-year-old Alcaraz ran the show.
