Everton picked up another three points on the weekend after defeating Brighton and Hove Albion 1-0 on the south coast.
David Moyes’ side are now seven points above the relegation zone heading into a six-pointer against Leicester City this weekend.

Moyes has brought back the positivity around Merseyside and many are beginning to feel a lot more optimistic about retaining Premier League status ahead of the stadium move to Bramley-Moore Dock next term.
Though, the Everton boss is under no illusions that his squad needs support in the transfer market and he hopes to bring in two signings before the deadline in a week’s time.
Due to the club’s ongoing PSR issues, the Toffees will have to operate on a sell-to-buy basis this month and with that said, one player is absolutely desperate to leave and has informed Moyes.

Beto in heated talks with Everton over exit
According to TuttoSport, Moyes has informed the Everton board that Beto is not part of his plans.
The Scotsman has been forced to play him, rather than a desire to, following Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s injury.
Moyes has made it clear he wants a striker through the door this month, with Rangers’ Hamza Igamane linked to Goodison Park.
Beto is unhappy at his lack of game time and it’s understood he’s ‘forcefully’ told Moyes and club chiefs that he wants to leave.
The Italian outlet further notes that Torino have submitted a fresh £12.5m offer for the towering centre-forward, but it was previously reported Everton won’t sanction his sale for less than £16m.
Now, however, there’s a belief a loan with an option to buy worth £15m could be enough to seal the deal.
Everton should cut their losses on Beto
Beto has been linked with an exit over the last month or so and it’s become pretty evident that his Everton career is all but over.
However, the Toffees have been stubborn with their pricetag which is dragging the deal on and on, preventing Moyes with the funds to sign players.
Everton really need to cut their losses and find a compromise with Torino, otherwise, they’ll have next to no funds of their own.
So, surely there will be movement on the deal over the next 48 hours.
