Everton have won consecutive games in the Premier League to move themselves well clear of the relegation zone.
David Moyes‘ side are now seven points clear of 18th-placed Wolves following their 1-0 win against Brighton and Hove Albion on the weekend.

Iliman Ndiaye netted the only goal of the game from the penalty spot and was actually applauded by Brighton fans for his impressive performance.
Idrissa Gueye was Man of the Match for many, but Jake O’Brien was a close second to the award after making only his second league start of the season.
Though, for all of the positivity, there was a real negative that came out of the game, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin picking up an injury.
With that said, it seems Everton’s transfer plans have now pivoted.

Everton now assessing striking targets
Calvert-Lewin was forced off against Brighton after just 13 minutes with a hamstring injury and now it’s just emerged that he’s set to spend a period on the sidelines.
Everton insider El Bobble has revealed that the club are awaiting a scan and will look to sign a replacement in the remaining seven days of the window.
Beto is Everton’s only striking option at the moment and his performance was far from convincing when he came on.
So quite clearly, Moyes has made it clear he needs another number nine to provide support for the former Udinese man.
Everton could turn to Hamza Igamane
Everton are showing an interest in Hamza Igamane after his sensational debut season with Rangers, netting 13 times already.
The Moroccan is attracting interest from Tottenham Hotspur, too, so clearly there is stiff competition for his signature.
Everton could also launch a bid to sign Evan Ferguson, who Brighton are willing to send out on loan to further his development.
So there are options for Moyes and his chiefs.
