Everton are now seeing their contract situations causing the club a few issues ahead of the summer.

David Moyes arrived back on Merseyside in January with some serious tasks to solve by the end of the term.

The main issue was for Moyes to secure Premier League survival for Everton ahead of their move to Bramley-Moore Dock.

However, the number of players set to run out of contract this season has to be a real concern for all at Finch Farm.

Moyes has warned his players they won’t be bullied into making their decisions.

The Toffees are running out of time to sort potential new deals for the players they want to keep, though.

And there has now been one player who has given the club the hurry up to make their decision.

Abdoulaye Doucoure issues Everton serious contract warning

One of the players set to depart at the end of the season is midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Following the recent victory over Nottingham Forest, Doucoure said he wanted to stay at Everton beyond his contract.

Speaking on the Fozcast, the Mali midfielder has now shared an update on his situation and even issued a warning to the club.

There’s not been any talks so far (with Everton),” he said.

“I don’t wait for them to give me a contract or not. I already have some proposals on the table…”

The full podcast will be released on Thursday morning and it seems the midfielder will be revealing a fair bit on where his future lies.

Doucoure has been praised by Gary Lineker for some of his performances in an Everton shirt over the years.

It will be interesting to see what else the midfielder has to say about his situation at Goodison Park.

Everton have huge decision to make on Doucoure’s future

Ahead of the summer, Leeds United have been linked with Doucoure if he is to become a free agent.

So, not only do Everton risk losing a player who has played a considerable amount of football over recent years and scored some huge goals, but they could also lose him to a rival.

The £20m midfielder is clearly keen to map out his future, which is fair enough considering he will need to consider where he could soon be living.

Given the number of players Everton could lose this summer, it would not be a huge surprise to see a new deal agreed with Doucoure.
