It could be a very busy end to the January transfer window for Everton.

With Jack Grealish set to miss three months due to a stress fracture in his foot, Everton will surely look to bring in another winger.

Fulham’s Harry Wilson has been heavily linked to the Toffees, but indications suggest he would prefer to leave in the summer when his contract expires.

How good of a signing would this be for Everton? 👀

David Moyes and his recruitment chiefs were looking at another winger on the continent, but he’s now just signed for another club and suggested he’s happy after snubbing Everton.

Noa Lang says he’s happy after snubbing Everton

Fabrizio Romano reported that an unnamed Premier League club came in late to push through a deal for Napoli’s Noa Lang.

It was suggested that Everton were the club trying to land Lang’s signature, but the Dutch wide player signed for Galatasaray instead.

In his first interview with the Turkish giants, the 26-year-old explained how delighted he is with the £25m switch.

If YOU were in charge, would you bring Lukaku back to Everton? 🤔

“It’s a massive club so I’m honoured to play here and if you play in Galatasaray, you need to become champion and set the bar really high to go far in the Champions League as well.”

Clearly, the lure of Champions League football enticed him, so it once again amplifies how important it’ll be for Everton to get back into Europe in order to attract a higher calibre of player.

David Moyes has admitted it’s difficult to sign players without European football

Last summer, when Everton were struggling to get players through the door, Moyes came out and admitted that many of their targets didn’t want to come because the club weren’t in Europe.

“The club are trying really hard to get the players I want and I’ve found it really difficult because in my last few years (in his previous job at West Ham United), I’ve been involved in European competition,” the Scotsman explained.

“It’s a bit easier when you’re a club in Europe. You get a better chance of attracting a lot of players. We’ve been in for a lot of really good players. Unfortunately, a lot of them have said no at the moment.”

Moyes is desperate to return Everton to Europe this season, so if that feat is achieved, this summer’s business should be a lot easier.
