Everton fans will have enjoyed the last couple of weeks with the Toffees’ summer really beginning to ramp up.

It would be fair to say the first three friendlies will not have done Everton fans’ hopes for the new season any good with some disappointing displays in there.

However, Sean Dyche‘s side have now won back-to-back friendlies in convincing fashion where some of their new signings have really shone.

But there is no time for Everton to rest in the transfer window with just over a week until their season opener against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Although Kevin Thelwell may be pleased with the work he has done at Goodison Park this summer, there is always room for improvement.

And it seems as if a move for one of their summer targets may well be opening up ahead of the final weeks in the window.

Everton striker target to hold meeting over his future

What Everton needed coming into the summer was some upgrades at the top end of the pitch.

Defensively, the Toffees were sound last season with the fourth-best record in the Premier League, but it was a totally different story up front.

And Everton could still lose some of their players with Atalanta showing a keen interest in Beto this summer.

So adding more than just Iliman Ndiaye will be crucial to Everton’s success in the upcoming term and it seems one of their targets could be on the move.

According to journalist Jack Rosser, Armando Broja will hold a meeting with the Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca to discuss his future.

It is believed the player is now seeking a permanent exit away from Stamford Bridge.

With Chelsea looking for a fee in the region of £25m, Everton would be keen if they are to move on Dominic Calvert-Lewin over the coming weeks.

But they are not alone in their interest with both Southampton and Wolves credited by the journalist.

Everton could swap Dominic Calvert-Lewin for Armando Broja

The future of Calvert-Lewin remains hanging in the balance with just 12 months remaining on his current contract at Goodison.

Calvert-Lewin’s Everton future is still very much open with any potential outcome not off the cards this summer.

If the former England international is not going to sign a new deal, then perhaps Everton could look to cash in on him and reinvest in Broja.

Of course, the Albanian is not exactly a reliable option in terms of his goal return, but neither is Calvert-Lewin and in Broja Everton could land themselves a long-term option if he is to find his feet on Merseyside.
