Everton have had some unlikely figures show an interest in the football club over the years.
The most peculiar one that springs to mind is Kylian Mbappe who used to watch Everton.
Evertonians have probably begged the Frenchman to sign for the Toffees, but that looks extremely unlikely.
But what could be more peculiar than one of the greatest players on the planet watching Everton? A Liverpool player.
One star has openly admitted he used to love watching games at Goodison Park.

Diogo Jota once admitted he loves watching Everton play
After the incredible scenes in Everton’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool, this will certainly bring up some controversy.
Liverpool fans were mocked by Abdoulaye Doucoure but might find Diogo Jota’s comments even more of a mockery.
Speaking to The Guardian, the Liverpool star who moved to Anfield for £40m in the 20/21 season made a controversial claim about Everton.
“I loved to watch Everton play, especially when they were playing at home,” Jota said.
“It was not a club that fought for the title but that always made life very complicated for the big teams.
“I loved that drive and competitiveness. They were relentless.”

Jota seen smiling after James Tarkowski scored for Everton
Now this might be a stretch, but it doesn’t look good on the Liverpool attacker.
James Tarkowski, or ‘paintbrush’ as Dwight McNeil likes to call Tarkowski, scored the all-important goal in the 98th minute.
TNT Sports’ cameras caught reactions after the goal including the Portuguese striker smirking after such a blow to Liverpool.
Maybe Jota still feels the same about Everton after the reaction, as the Portuguese can’t deny his past love for the Toffees.
