Everton fans had to watch England lose to Senegal on Tuesday night whilst Jordan Pickford sat on the bench.
Fortunately, the game for the Three Lions was only an international friendly which offered some positives for Everton fans.
Iliman Ndiaye was involved in the game at the City Ground which saw Senegal win the game 3-1.
The winger was not the only player from the Blues on display with the Senegalese media praising Idrissa Gana Gueye for his showing.
Neither of the Everton players were able to get amongst the goals, but they did play an important role in the victory.
As for Pickford, the England number one had to give up his place for Crystal Palace’s Dean Henderson as Thomas Tuchel assessed his options.
The result left a lot of England fans thinking the same thing.

England fans issue Jordan Pickford verdict after England loss
Adrian Durham backtracked on his Pickford verdict after now claiming the Everton goalkeeper will not fear losing his role.
And it seems there were a considerable number of England fans who shared that sentiment after watching their side lose on Tuesday.
Taking to social media, one fan said: ‘Pickford probably the only person happy with tonight’s result, Henderson looks nowhere near ready for the number one spot.’ Whilst another fan took to X to say: ‘If Tuchel drops Pickford for Henderson we might be fully at rock bottom.’
Pickford has not conceded three goals in a game for England, and one fan backed Pickford to make a quick return: ‘Tuchel putting far too much weight into players playing in Europe. Pickford is far better than Henderson, I don’t care who he plays for.’
Everton fans slammed Tuchel’s comments on Pickford needing to play for a European club ahead of the World Cup.
Another fan picked up on Henderson’s lack of communication, they said: ‘Get Henderson off, it’s like having a mute in goal we need someone like Pickford who is gonna scream at his defence.’
One fan was left convinced there was only one England number one in their mind: ‘Pickford is miles clear of every other English goalkeeper as he proves every time someone steps in for a game and wets the bed, Ramsdale, Pope, and now Henderson. Pickford is comfortably clear of them all.’
Whilst a final England fan added: ‘Hopefully that’s the last we see of Henderson, Pickford would have saved 2 of those’.

David Ornstein thinks Jordan Pickford is England’s number one
Jamie Carragher hailed Pickford as Everton’s best player this season following his consistent showings between the sticks.
Pickford has kept Everton afloat in the Premier League for a number of years now and not put a foot wrong for England.
Despite this, there are still question marks being raised about his spot in goal for the Three Lions.
This is not the case for respected journalist David Ornstein who backed Pickford after Tuesday’s loss.
“It reiterates that Jordan Pickford is easily England’s number one, but Thomas Tuchel has been talking about how he wants his goalkeepers to be playing European football; which Pickford isn’t,” said Ornstein.
