Everton could sell a player or two before the winter transfer window ends on 2nd February.

Fenerbahce are hoping to sign Beto – but the Turkish giants are currently unwilling to pay the £17m fee Everton want, leaving negotiations at a standstill.

Now, Everton must decide what to do with Tim Iroegbunam as Lazio target a move for the 22-year-old.

There’s no way Everton can sell Tim Iroegbunam after the season he’s having! 😡

Maurizio Sarri wants Tim Iroegbunam at Lazio

Luca Bendoni of Sky Sports Italy now states that Lazio – managed by former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri – are interested in signing the Everton No.42 before the transfer window slams shut.

Iroegbunam has enjoyed a run in the team under David Moyes while Idrissa Gueye was away at the Africa Cup of Nations, playing 90 minutes in four of the last five Premier League outings.

His performances have now alerted Lazio, who are expecting some outgoings in the midfield department, and are therefore on the lookout for reinforcements.

Iroegbunam – who Everton paid £9m to sign from Aston Villa in June 2024 – is under contract with the Toffees until July 2027.

Interest from Lazio gives The Friedkin Group a decision to make, considering the man born in Great Barr will only have 12 months remaining on his deal at the end of the season, and is not exactly a vital player under Moyes.

Everton decision could rest on what happens with Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Everton are a potential destination for Ruben Loftus-Cheek as the AC Milan No.8 targets a return to the Premier League this winter, ahead of the World Cup this summer.

Moyes would probably be reluctant to sell Iroegbunam – who also has interest from the Championship – just in case one of James Garner, Merlin Rohl or Gueye were to suffer an injury in the second half of the season.

If you were David Moyes, which three players would you want to sign in January?

However, if the midfield department can be boosted by the addition of Loftus-Cheek or another option, it could well lead The Friedkin Group to accept a bid from Lazio.
