Aaron Lennon has made his prediction on whether Everton will get relegated this season.

Everton have had their fair share of issues in the current campaign.

Sean Dyche’s future is a little bit more certain after a win over Wolves, but the Friedkin Group will have a huge say on what the plans are once the takeover is complete.

There were calls for a potential drop into the relegation zone, but the Toffees are now five points ahead.

However, the fixtures list doesn’t look too promising during December, so things could soon change.

Aaron Lennon has been speaking on the club’s situation recently and has given his prediction on whether Everton could end up getting relegated this season.

Aaron Lennon makes Everton relegation prediction

Everton initially signed Aaron Lennon on loan in 2015, before returning to Spurs.

However, he returned for around £4.5 million on a permanent deal and went on to make 77 appearances in total for the Toffees, scoring nine goals and assisting three.

Aaron Lennon still has one eye on what’s going on at Everton.

When talking on TalkSPORT, he stated that he’s confident Everton will avoid relegation, and he believes Sean Dyche is the man moving forward.

“100 per cent, that must be the only aim this season – it’s to stay in the league.

“They’ve got the new stadium coming, and it would be an absolute disaster if they were to go down this season.

“I’m pretty confident they’ll stay in the league this season – the main thing for me is to stay in the league and for me, Sean (Dyche) is the man to do it.”

Aaron Lennon has already given his opinion on Sean Dyche

When speaking to the Planet Premier League podcast last month, Lennon stated that Sean Dyche is the perfect man for the job ahead at Everton and will keep them afloat.

He said.

“I was really worried for Everton at the start of the season, they had a few bad results. And they were conceding, like I said if you have a look at how many goals they’ve been conceding this season.

“It was just not like a Sean Dyche side. They’re not scoring many, but they’re only conceding the odd goal here and there. But the form is much better now.

“I still believe Sean Dyche is the perfect man for that job. Because he will not let any of the outside noise get in between what goes on, on the pitch for his team.”
