Everton’s summer transfer window is yet to really get off the ground.
With no new faces coming through the doors at Finch Farm, Everton’s only business has been to wave goodbye to a number of free agent departures.
It has been suggested that Everton have received interest in Thierno Barry from RB Leipzig, which could mark a significant departure this summer.
Where does Thierno Barry go from here? This Everton fan has had ENOUGH! 😡
Second week in a row fans have been left furious
Events elsewhere in the market may only be strengthening Everton’s valuation of Barry, with some serious figures being thrown about.

AC Milan’s purchase of Goncalo Ramos could boost Everton’s Thierno Barry valuation
Everton are not required to make a big sale this summer in order to balance the financial books.
However, if they can cash in on a player like Barry for a significant profit, then that possibility has to be considered.
Away from Everton, Paris Saint-Germain are in the process of selling striker Goncalo Ramos to AC Milan for a staggering fee of €74m (£63m) plus add-ons.
Don’t hold back, let us know who you want gone this summer 👋
This is a striker who scored just six goals last season in Ligue 1, with the back-to-back champions of Europe.
Granted the Portugal international was not PSG’s starting striker, having been selected in the starting XI 13 times in the league over the 2025/26 campaign.
Despite this, Ramos still played over 1300 minutes in Ligue 1 with PSG.
In comparison, the report linking RB Leipzig with the Everton striker suggests Barry is valued at less than half of what Ramos is moving to Milan for.
| 2025/26 (League seasons) | Goncalo Ramos | Thierno Barry |
| Appearances | 30 | 38 |
| Starts | 13 | 21 |
| Minutes | 1309 | 1915 |
| Goals | 6 | 8 |
| Assists | 1 | 0 |
Barry has been criticised since joining Everton after failing to really win over the fans through his seeming lack of effort at times.
However, it must be considered that, in his first season in England, Barry was still able to provide a respectable return of eight goals in the Premier League.
Like Ramos, he was not always the first choice striker having racked up around 1900 minutes of Premier League football.
Thierno Barry has a lot of room for development
Although the jury very much is still out on Barry, there will be some concerns over potentially allowing him to leave too early on in his Everton career.
Everton have already been stung through the sale of Ademola Lookman to RB Leipzig
Diving into the data, there are clearly a number of areas where Barry fails to match Ramos, but he does massively outperform the Portuguese striker in his goal proficiency.

The transfer market is providing some extortionate valuations of players and Everton would be silly to not capitalise on the over-inflated market.
Although it would be difficult to find a club willing to spend in excess of £60m on Barry, there could still be an argument for Everton to potentially turn a profit on their initial £30m investment.
It has been suggested that Everton are looking to sign another striker this summer.
Giving the green light to the sale would provide Angus Kinnear some funds to reinvest, but there would be significant pressure on him to spend it wisely.
