Everton have completed the signing of Adam Aznou from Bayern Munich – and the new arrival has dropped an early hint regarding his style of play.

Everton swooped for Adam Aznou to hand Vitaliy Mykolenko cover and competition, after Ashley Young left at the end of his contract.

Aznou has set Everton back around £8 million, which Toffees officials hope will prove to be a steal.

After the transfer was announced yesterday, Bayern board member Max Eberl expressed ‘regret’ about losing Aznou to Everton.

And previously, Bayern attempted to negotiate a clause over Aznou that would allow them to match accepted bids for the player in the future.

Bayern also wanted a buy-back clause on Aznou, but that wasn’t negotiated in the end.

These things suggest the Bavarian giants are slightly uncomfortable about his exit, which can only be a good thing for Everton.

And it seems Aznou may be an exciting player to watch.

Yesterday, Aznou gave his first interview with Everton after signing for the club.

The youngster spoke about the efforts of David Moyes to bring him to Merseyside, and he is looking forward to getting started.

Aznou will now look to make an impression out in the US, with Everton having games coming up against West Ham United and Manchester United in the Premier League Summer Series.

A final game against AS Roma awaits on August 9.

And Aznou has already dropped a hint about his style of play and what Everton fans can expect from him.

Without skipping a beat, the left-back said: “One against one dribbling. I really like to take the ball.

“Of course I have to improve small things but yeah, that’s me.”

Aznou could be fun to watch for Everton fans

It was interesting to hear Aznou immediately state that he is someone who likes to dribble against people in one vs one situation.

Of course, he is a defender. So his response is intriguing and may well indicate that we’ll be seeing him trying to operate in advanced positions.

It is always great to watch a marauding full-back.

When you have a player who looks to attack from the full-back positions, it can be really problematic for the opposition, who must try to stop overlaps and underlaps.

Moyes will be keen to ensure that Aznou is strong defensively for Everton, with the backline well known for being quite sturdy these days.

But certainly, there will also be scope for Aznou to push on and do some damage with this one vs one dribbling ability of his.
