Everton fans would look to see the signing of a new striker – but Ademola Lookman could complicate a move for one target.
Everton have started to stumble, having played poorly in the last three home games.
There was the 4-2 defeat to Brentford, followed by the draw with Wolves. And on Saturday, Everton lost in the FA Cup third round to Sunderland on penalties.

The pressure is on The Friedkin Group according to Alan Myers…
It was another poor day for both of Everton’s strikers Beto and Thierno Barry.
With five Premier League goals between them this season, there has been real clamour for the club to land a new striker if there is to be a genuine push for European football.
One player who’s been linked with Everton is Artem Dovbyk of AS Roma.
But a new claim today suggests the Toffees may have some difficulty – thanks to Ademola Lookman.
Fenerbache ready to move for Artem Dovbyk if Ademola Lookman pursuit fails

There has been real frustration with Barry and Beto this season.
Barry, of course, signed in the summer and there was always going to be a period of adaptation. But that period looks like it could go on for a while.
There has been particular frustration with Beto, given he’s been on the scene for a few years now.
So a new striker is high on the wish list of a lot of fans, but any move for Dovbyk could be tricky.
According to Turkish journalist Sercan Hamzaolu – who boasts a sizeable following over 500,000 accounts on X – Fenerbahce could be set to make an offer for the Ukraine striker.
He claims that their manager Domenico Tedesco admires the player, and that an official offer will be made if they cannot land Ademola Lookman.
Lookman is reported by Foot Africa to be in no rush to make a move, so Fenerbahce could well swoop for Everton target Dovbyk.

Everton need a clinical centre-forward
Everton are said to be more likely to make loan signings this month unless something ‘exceptional’ crops up.
That is a disappointing update, because it seems clear that attacking this window gives Everton the chance to push for European football.
At the moment, the club are just six points off fourth. The league table is tight, and there’s every chance to push.
The signing of a clinical centre-forward would be a real game-changer for Everton. Or potentially just someone who has experience of the Premier League and has scored on at least a semi-regular basis.
