Dele Alli is a bit of a forgotten man on Merseyside having not appeared for Everton since 2022, and Alan Myers has provided an update on his situation.
Sean Dyche turned to Dwight McNeil to occupy the number 10 role against Crystal Palace and it immediately paid off, as he grabbed a brace.
Gabriel Agbonlahor even stated that he could play for Barcelona or Real Madrid if he managed to improve on his pace.
Everton originally signed Dele Alli with the view of deploying him as the number 10 a long time ago now, but that didn’t pan out and he’s been a forgotten figure ever since.
The Englishman doesn’t actually play for Everton; he’s currently just training with them.
Alan Myers has now provided an update on his situation regarding the club.

Dele Alli’s situation revealed by Alan Myers
There have been reports that Kevin Thelwell wants to keep his promise by giving Dele Alli a chance, but it remains to be seen as to whether that’s true.
The midfielder has been training with the Toffees to maintain his fitness in the hope of earning a new deal.
Alan Myers has now given his insight on the situation of Alli.
Speaking on his X account, he stated that he believes it’s just a case of him getting match fit now, suggesting they’ve already given him an ultimatum.
What can Dele Alli add to Sean Dyche’s side?
A new deal for Dele Alli makes sense if the wages are appropriate.
We know the Englishman has plenty of talent, but he’s been away from the Premier League for the past couple of years, so it’s naturally going to take time to get up to speed.
One positive is that he’s already integrated with Sean Dyche and his squad.
McNeil’s new role certainly looks positive at this stage, but outside of him, there aren’t many options in the number 10 role, depending on where Iliman Ndiaye operates.
The difficulty is you just never know which Dele Alli you’re going to get.
