Everton welcomed in a number of players during the summer transfer window, and it looks as if there could be another player signed by Sean Dyche at some point on free.
Dwight McNeil scored a brace for The Toffees and earned most of the plaudits but Jarrad Branthwaite was also excellent on his return to the side.
Everton are back in action this weekend as they play host to Newcastle United in the final game before the October international break.
During that two-week lay-off, the Merseysiders could sign a free agent who’s been training with them.

Everton still want to offer Dele Alli new contract
Dele Alli has been training with Everton despite his contract expiring in the summer.
The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has been recovering from a hamstring injury and is now working his way back to full fitness.
Dele was linked with a move to Genoa earlier this week but according to TEAMtalk, his priority is to sign a new deal with The Toffees.
Everton’s Director of Football Kevin Thelwell still wants to resign the 28-year-old once he proves his fitness.
The Merseyside outfit were due to pay Tottenham a substantial fee if they agreed a new deal with Dele but the two clubs agreed to remove that obligation.
Dele Alli has no interest in joining Genoa
Genoa’s interest in Dele isn’t thought to be concrete and anyhow, the former England international is only focused on playing for Everton in the Premier League.
Dele has set himself a goal to play at the 2026 World Cup, so quite clearly, he feels staying in England is the best way of achieving that ambition.
If the midfielder can rediscover some of the form he showed during his Tottenham days then Everton could be getting themselves one hell of a player.
It’s worth a gamble if the wages aren’t too high as even at Everton we did see slight glimpses, just injuries and a lack of confidence let him down.
