The summer transfer window is right around the corner, and David Moyes wants Everton to be very active.

Towards the end of last season, David Moyes urged the Friedkin Group to back him in the market if they wanted the club to progress to the next level.

“I want them to come out and show: ‘We’re here, we’re going again, we’re supporting you’,” the Everton manager stated last month.

It seems the American investors are prepared to do exactly that, as the Toffees are pressing ahead with a deal to sign Hayden Hackney.

How would you feel about Hayden Hackney becoming Everton’s first signing? 🤩

As well as Hackney, Moyes’ recruitment chiefs are also having a close look at signing a Barcelona star.

Alexander Isak’s past comments on Everton target Roony Bardghji

It has just been reported that Everton are in the mix to sign Barcelona prospect Roony Bardghji this summer.

Bardghji, 20, registered six goal involvements in 28 appearances for Barca last season, and he also made his senior debut with the Swedish national team.

Already, the 2005-born winger has collected three caps, playing alongside Alexander Isak in the forward line.

That said, Isak is a very big admirer of the Everton target and heaped praise on him after Sweden’s clash against Switzerland in November.

“He’s a top-level player,” Isak told SPORT.

“I wouldn’t consider him a talent who’s been given a chance, but rather an established player. He’s where he is for a reason.

“He came on with great energy, it was a shame he came on in this situation, when we were losing 0-1. But for me, he was a ray of light for us despite the defeat,’ added Liverpool’s new signing.”

Evidently, Bardghji is considered a very prestigious talent with bags of potential, so it won’t be easy for Everton to complete a deal.

When you consider Moyes’ track record with young players, too, it seems like a very unlikely transfer to materialise in truth.
