Seamus Coleman made his final appearance for Everton against Tottenham Hotspur, and then came in for some praise from Liverpool full-back Andy Robertson.
There was huge disappointment as Everton fell to a 1-0 defeat at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Toffees could have sealed a top half finish, but ended up coming 13th with the result.
How do you even sum up that performance? 😡
Utterly woeful from Everton on the final day…
David Moyes oversaw a run of seven games without a win to finish in the campaign, and fans are now very unhappy.
They were very unhappy last weekend as Everton crashed to a 3-1 defeat against Sunderland, which then impacted the farewell received by Seamus Coleman.
There were some better scenes in the week at Finch Farm as Coleman said his goodbyes, and on Sunday there was a nice word from Andy Robertson about the Everton legend.

Seamus Coleman praised by Andy Robertson after final Everton appearance

Sunday was a day of goodbyes.
Pep Guardiola has now moved on from Manchester City, and Mo Salah and Andy Robertson have left Liverpool.
The Liverpool pair were interviewed by Sky Sports after their final game against Brentford, and it was there that Robertson actually gave a very classy message about Coleman.
He said: “For me, there’s two other people leaving other clubs today that are pretty important. Pep Guardiola pushed us to completely new limits, I think both of us would agree. Probably, we should have more Premier Leagues if it wasn’t for that man. So what a servant to Man City, I wish him all the best.
“And finally Seamus Coleman. I think when I was growing up he was one of the Premier League full-backs who was a very high level. He was certainly a better bargain than me at sixty grand. Obviously he’s leaving Everton and he’s been a fantastic servant for that football club and I wish him all the best as well.”
It has to be said, Robertson’s comments here are very classy indeed.
That was a disgraceful performance from Everton… something has to change! 😤
There remains a fierce rivalry between the blue and red sides of Merseyside, but clearly there Robertson genuinely respects the player Coleman has been over all these years.
It’s nice to hear him acknowledge his fellow full-back, and Evertonians will no doubt love him conceding that the Irishman is a bigger bargain.
Everton and Liverpool do have one thing in common, which is that both clubs are losing top full-backs who have served their teams extremely well.
