Everton ended the 2025/26 Premier League season with a pitiful performance against relegation-battling Tottenham Hotspur.
David Moyes’ side suffered a 1-0 defeat to Tottenham, which means they have ended up finishing in 13th place.
Everton have gone seven games without a win at the most crucial stage of the season, with many believing Moyes has overplayed many of his first-teamers.
How do you even sum up that performance? 😡
Utterly woeful from Everton on the final day…
It’s a real shame Seamus Coleman, who played his final game for the club, didn’t end on a more positive note.
But, he still shared a special moment with the Toffees supporters at the full-time whistle.

Seamus Coleman kisses the Everton badge after Tottenham defeat
Moyes brought Coleman on in the 84th minute to play out the final minutes of his Everton career in the capital.
After the game, the 37-year-old was seen walking over to the travelling away supporters and kissing the badge whilst clapping them.
That was a disgraceful performance from Everton… something has to change! 😤
It didn’t seem like a goodbye, though, as he didn’t appear to shed any tears or wave.
There is a chance that Coleman stays on as part of Moyes’ coaching staff next season.
Everton CEO Angus Kinnear has already confirmed that the club would love Coleman to stay, although a decision won’t be made by the Irishman until after his summer holiday.
Merlin Rohl recently revealed that Coleman has been like a mentor to him, so clearly, the players in the dressing room would benefit from him becoming an assistant coach.
Alan Stubbs has urged Coleman to take his time before deciding his next step, so there likely won’t be an announcement on his permanent future until later in the summer.
