Everton are exploring multiple deals ahead of the January transfer window, which opens in just two days.
David Moyes has made a striker a top priority, with Thierno Barry and Beto netting just two Premier League goals between them.
Moyes wants to return Everton to Europe, so to achieve that feat, they will need to bring in a prolific frontman.
Who would you rather Everton sign, Artem Dovbyk or Nicolas Jackson?
Artem Dovbyk is on Everton’s radar and they have been told it’d take bids of around £21m to strike a deal.
With that said, Dovbyk’s stance on the potential transfer to Merseyside has now emerged.

Everton target Artem Dovbyk wants to stay in Italy
Dovbyk has been linked with a move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium in recent weeks, with Moyes clearly keen on the 6ft 2 striker.
The 28-year-old, who was La Liga’s top scorer in the 2023/24 season, hasn’t been given much game time at Roma this term.
How many signings do you want to see made in January? 💰
A striker, a midfielder and a right-back… are we missing anything here?
As such, Dovbyk’s future at the Italian giants is very uncertain, however, Di Marzio has just poured cold water on a potential transfer to Everton.
Di Marzio understands that the Ukraine international wants to remain in Italy and there are suggestions that he could join Como, AC Milan or Napoli.
So, it’s back to the drawing board for Moyes and his recruitment staff on that front.
Everton should turn their attention to Ivan Toney
In terms of what Everton need, Ivan Toney is the perfect striker target as he has Premier League experience and fits Moyes’ system really well.
In fact, Moyes tried to sign Toney as West Ham United manager, so clearly he’s a big admirer of the former Peterborough United and Brentford centre-forward.
Al-Ahli aren’t keen on selling Toney this winter, so the only stumbling block would be the finances required to make it happen.
The Saudi Pro League outfit shelled out around £40m on the England international in 2024, so perhaps a bid of around £30m would be sufficient.
A telling month lies ahead for the Merseysiders.
