Everton will have to keep quiet on any targets they’re looking at, as major competition could be involved.

David Moyes will have to try and force some of his transfer window tactics at Everton this summer in what is already an extremely competitive market.

The Everton boss might have gotten it right with Carlos Alcaraz, but the jury is still out on the Argentine.

With a clause still needing to be met, Everton could still miss out on Alcaraz, but time will tell.

Elsewhere though, The Friedkin Group will have to act quickly as Vincent Kompany’s Bayern Munich side have just thrown a spanner in the works for an Everton target.

Bayern Munich in talks with Everton target Luis Henrique

This spells trouble for Moyes, as Luis Henrique is someone on Everton’s radar.

Although Sean Dyche and Kevin Thelwell were the pair looking into him, Moyes still might see the Brazilian as a real coup in the summer.

It had been revealed that Newcastle United are eyeing Henrique, but both the Toffees and the Toon Army could be blown out of the water by Bayern.

According to German journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern’s hierarchy have already held talks with Henrique’s agency.

Henrique is aware of Bayern’s interest which already sends a red flag to Everton, as Moyes could miss out on a bargain of £25-30m, and Plettenberg has said it’s ‘one to watch’.

Everton could find it hard to convince highly rated talent to join

Even though the future looks bright for the Toffees, it must still be remembered that Everton’s league position isn’t exactly flattering.

This will obviously mean targets like Henrique will favour a move to Bayern, considering their status as a club.

Moyes knows of this, and it is exactly the reason why he needs to start from the ground up again, as someone like Jamie Vardy has been mooted for Everton.

It’s going to take time for the manager to build his squad and this will have to be the sort of players Everton go for, and with Bayern holding talks with Henrique’s agents, this transfer looks to be a dud.
