David Moyes has seemingly done everything perfectly at Everton so far, but cracks could be beginning to show.
It was an inspired choice by The Friedkin Group to bring back Moyes after his highly successful first stint with the club.
Many have changed their opinion of the Scotsman’s appointment, as Alan Shearer admitted he was wrong about Moyes.
He’s brought the feel-good factor back to Everton, but it hasn’t been all smooth sailing.
Although it’s extremely early days into his return, Moyes has now gone from nine games unbeaten to six without a win, and Sean Dyche will be showing smugness with a new statistic that has emerged.

David Moyes is being bettered by Sean Dyche with Everton statistic
It’s a statement Everton fans won’t want to hear, but Moyes is indeed falling short to Dyche in one department.
Even though Moyes plays a more attacking style at Everton, this doesn’t mean he comes out on top in every area.
With the Toffees now without a win in six, it might have been slightly swept under the carpet with Everton very close to Premier League safety.
But this statistic proves how Dyche has currently had a more successful time at Everton every fans’ surprise.
Dyche has a better win percentage, and obviously, he’s managed a lot more games, but even Rafa Benitez, who was only in charge for eight more games than Moyes, trumps the Scotsman so far.
| Everton managers’ winning percentage | |
| David Moyes | 4 wins in 13 games (30.8%) |
| Sean Dyche | 26 wins in 84 games (31.0%) |
| Rafa Benitez | 7 wins in 22 games (31.8%) |
Moyes has had major disadvantage so far at Everton
Although this might seem concerning, it’s been far from that.
The overall atmosphere at Everton has come on leaps and bounds since Dyche left, as Moyes has a manager of the month to his name, which Dyche can’t match.
So it doesn’t tell the full story with the percentages, especially considering that in his first 13, he’s had to face the likes of Man City, Liverpool twice, and most recently Arsenal.
With Nottingham Forest around the corner, it might not get any better for his record, but the future looks bright under Moyes.
