Everton are preparing for a big summer spend.

The Friedkin Group will hand David Moyes a healthy budget to completely transform Everton’s squad after years of PSR restraints.

The Toffees’ new owners have aspirations to return the club to Europe and the move to Bramley-Moore Dock could help to realise those dreams.

Everton’s new stadium could bring in an extra £40m-a-year in revenue, so PSR issues should be a thing of the past after this financial year.

Moyes already has his eye on David Hancko, who’s impressed at Feyenoord this term, and Maxime Esteve has been linked with a move to Goodison Park.

The Scotsman will also look to bolster his attacking ranks, with his side struggling in front of goal this term despite a resurgence from the likes of Beto and Jesper Lindstrom.

But, one of his attacking targets could now be snatched by Newcastle United, who are in the picture to land his signature.

Newcastle eyeing Everton target Luis Henrique

Everton scouts were blown away by Luis Henrique when they watched him in November and considered making a bid in January.

Ultimately, the Toffees opted to keep their powder dry in order for a big spend this summer, so it wouldn’t at all be surprising to see Henrique’s name crop up again.

However, they could be beaten to his signature by Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest, who are positioning themselves for a summer transfer, according to Le10 Sport.

The Premier League duo have been told it’d take an offer of around £29m to sign the Marseille winger, who has netted nine goals whilst laying on seven assists this season.

Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are also keeping tabs on Henrique.

Moyes more likely to recruit domestically

Everton’s links to Henrique started long before Moyes returned to the club earlier this year, so the Brazilian is evidently not one of his targets.

Instead, Moyes is much more likely to fish in closer to home in the Championship, where he believes there are a plethora of future superstars.

The Everton manager wanted to sign Tom Fellows in January, so interest in the West Bromwich Albion winger could be reignited over the coming weeks.

Fellows is the joint-top assister in the Championship and has been capped by England’s under-21s.
