Everton haven’t been able to find their rhythm this season and look set to be involved in another relegation battle.

Sean Dyche’s side are starting to leak goals which wasn’t really an issue last term, so pair that with their lack of quality going forward and it could spell bad news.

Plus, having not taken advantage of their opening fixtures, the next 10 games heading into the new year are incredibly tough.

So, that’s put Dyche’s future under major scrutiny, especially with the Friedkin Group set to be installed as the new owners.

David Moyes is thought to be a candidate to replace Dyche but there are no immediate plans to sack him as of now.

That said, a BBC reporter has now revealed the big problem Everton face which could spell the end of Dyche if he doesn’t address it.

Everton aren’t creating enough chances for Dominic Calvert-Lewin

BBC reporter Mike Hughes has just revealed the major problem Everton need to fix this season if they’re to steer clear of relegation.

“The big problem is a lack of creativity in the final third with the Blues not fashioning enough takeable chances,” Hughes wrote.

“Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s recent lack of goals is highlighted – with some justification – but as a centre-forward, he is often trying to thrive on a very limited service.

“Both full-backs have done a decent job lately and though Ashley Young has weighed in with valuable assists this season, neither he or Vitaliy Mykolenko can be expected to deliver a supply of quality crosses for Calvert-Lewin to benefit from.”

Everton third lowest scorers in Premier League

Everton have scored just 10 goals in 11 games so far this season and are third lowest scorers in the Premier League.

Dwight McNeil is the current top scorer with three followed by Calvert-Lewin who has struck just twice in the league.

So, it’s become evident they need to sign a centre-forward in the January transfer window, with Tammy Abraham the ideal fit.

He’s not played as much as he would’ve hoped at Milan this term, so his signature could genuinely be attainable.
