Sam Allardyce shares what he’s been told about Everton’s new stadium that will absolutely shock fans

There are plenty of reasons for Everton fans to be optimistic.

The Toffees are set to be taken over by the Friedkin Group after a couple of years in limbo under Farhad Moshiri.

Finally, the club appear to be heading out of its financial woes and could have a cash injection ready for the January transfer window.

With Everton currently languishing in 16th, there’s evidently a need to strengthen and bring in reinforcement this winter.

Fans have been calling for Dominic Calvert-Lewin to be dropped, so the need to sign a new centre-forward is apparent.

Safety is an absolute necessity this season ahead of the move into the new stadium, which former manager Sam Allardyce has just heard something very interesting about.

Sam Allardyce told the new Everton stadium could make £75m-a-year in revenue

Speaking on David Seaman’s podcast, Sam Allardyce discussed the errors Farhad Moshiri has made at Everton but noted that the new stadium will be his legacy.

And, he revealed that he’s been told the stadium could generate a whopping £75m-a-year in revenue.

“Everton are on the decline financially in terms of the spending power because Farhad Moshiri, I feel incredibly sorry for by the fact that you know there was so much money wasted at Everton so the club could have been you know in the top or should have been in the top six with that,” Allardyce said.

“He has to take some blame himself because he unfortunately listened to a lot of people and some of them weren’t quite as good as others, and badly advised.

“And he thought that they were, you know, honest and good for Everton Football Club, and obviously in the end, it wasn’t, and I think that he’s getting out now.

“But his legacy is the new stadium that Everton fans must be really proud of, and that is the saving grace of Everton Football Club and probably for him to recoup some of his money because the amount of revenue that’s predicted that it will turnover is, I am being told and I don’t know whether this is actually true, but in the region of £70, £75 million a year just in stadium revenue.”

Everton’s new stadium will allow them to spend big

If Allardyce’s information is correct, Everton should be able to spend a lot more in future transfer windows without breaching Financial Fair Play.

The increased revenue from Bramley Docks will evidently boost their profits, so if managed correctly, the club could return to their past glories.

Everton should try to sign some of Brighton’s recruitment staff, who have surprisingly just been axed from the club by Tony Bloom.
