Everton’s focus will now have turned to Saturday’s pre-season friendly against Blackburn Rovers.
The Blues were in action on Tuesday evening, with David Moyes leading his side out at the Wham Stadium against Accrington Stanley.
Although the travelling fans had to settle for a 1-1 draw against the League Two outfit, Everton fans were impressed by Harrison Armstrong.
The young midfielder was just one of the standout performers for the Blues against Accrington Stanley.
Isaac Heath shone for Everton after coming on in the second half of the game to establish himself as one to watch this summer.
However, goalscorer on the night, Beto, has been left wowed by another player at Everton who he feels has so much quality.

Beto left so impressed by Dwight McNeil at Everton
Following the signing of Thierno Barry earlier this summer, Beto has looked to impress in Everton training.
The striker will now feel pressure for the starting spot in Moyes’ Everton attack, but he has taken the opportunity to praise one of his teammates recently.
Speaking to the Everton social media team, Beto has waxed lyrical about Dwight McNeil’s technical ability.
Having to say what they liked about a random teammate, Beto said this about McNeil: ‘Cardio. Left foot. Too much quality.”
McNeil is expected to help Barry in front of goal, but it is the other Everton striker who has been singing his praises.
The 2024/25 term was a strange campaign for McNeil who suffered an injury which really disrupted a strong start to the season.
Having signed Carlos Alcaraz permanently, McNeil will now be looking to solidify his spot in the starting XI under Moyes this summer.
Iliman Ndiaye sings Beto’s praises
Later in the video, Iliman Ndiaye pulled out Beto’s name and the Senegal international had some kind words to say about the striker.
“Beto! His desire, his work off the ball. He’s always giving 100%,” said the Everton star man.
A big summer lies ahead for Beto at Everton.
Benfica have shown an interest in Beto already in the transfer market, but the forward looks eager to earn his spot in the starting XI.
After showing some progress under Moyes, the 27-year-old could not have started pre-season off in a better manner on Tuesday night.
