Beto enjoyed his best game for Everton in a long time against Leicester City – and the striker has since made some interesting remarks.
Beto was back in the starting lineup for Everton following the injury to Dominic Calvert-Lewin against Brighton.
Calvert-Lewin is set for a spell on the sidelines after sustaining a hamstring that is expected to rule him out for a number of weeks.
An injury update was given about Armando Broja on transfer deadline day to say he could be back in around four to five weeks, so Beto now looks set to lead the line for a little while now or Everton.
Beto, by and large, has struggled at Everton – but things may now be about to change with the player heaping praise on David Moyes and the impact he’s had on him personally.
Beto shares how David Moyes has helped boost his confidence at Everton

Beto scored a brilliant brace against Leicester, and the hope now is that he really kicks on.
Beto has all the tools to be a successful Premier League striker.
It hasn’t really happened for him so far at the club, although many feel he was never given a fair shot by previous manager Sean Dyche.
Speaking after the game against Leicester, Beto suggested he’s had confidence issues – but the arrival of Moyes has helped him feel much better.
He said (via evertonfc.com): “He has done a lot for me, just saying: ‘Play your game, run in behind. Be aggressive, to try to bully the defenders. Jump, even if I don’t mean to get something’.
“And that gave me a little bit of confidence – no, a boost of confidence – because I can play my game, and I know he trusts me. Even if I’m on the bench, I know he will trust me to come in, to do my game.”
Beto has golden chance to prolong his Everton career
With Calvert-Lewin and Broja both out for weeks, this is now Beto’s time to shine for Everton.
The club didn’t bring in a new striker in the January transfer window, and it claimed there was a reticence from Moyes to spend on players who wouldn’t necessarily improve Everton.
Seemingly, the manager is comfortable putting his faith in Beto. Otherwise, he may have pushed harder for a new signing.

Beto has only scored 10 goals in 55 games for Everton but perhaps the recent managerial change could now be the making of him at Goodison Park.
The player’s remarks suggest he already really enjoys playing under Moyes, so hopefully he kicks on and he can prolong his Everton career – fans certainly love his attitude and it would be great to see him become more prolific.
