David Moyes has brought back the positivity at Everton after three wins on the trot.

Everton thumped Leicester City 4-0 at Goodison Park on the weekend to move nine points clear of the relegation zone.

Though, Moyes is under no illusion that Everton remain still in a nervy position and has been keen to recruit in the transfer market.

Carlos Alcaraz is about to sign for the Toffees whilst the club have explored deals for two Championship wingers.

Everton bid £10m for Tom Fellows and have shown interest in Sunderland’s Tommy Watson ahead of the deadline.

Neither are likely to join at this stage, however, Moyes has just received a major double boost on the injury front which has reduced the need to bring in another signing.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja set for early return from injury

Everton thought they would be without both Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja for a lengthy period of time.

That was especially the case for Broja, who was stretched off against Peterborough United at the beginning of Janaury.

In fact, Everton were even in talks to cancel Broja’s loan, but now it’s just emerged that the striking duo are set for an early return from the sidelines, according to Sky Sports journalist Anton Toloui.

“The second bit of good news is on the injury front at Everton, Armando Broja’s recovery is going very well and he could be back within the next four or five weeks, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin who has seen a specialist over his hamstring and the club expects him back before the end of the season.”

Everton injury news means no more signings expected

The positive injury news means Everton are no longer expected to pursue a striker ahead of the 11pm deadline.

Indeed, if anything arises, club chiefs will be on hand to explore it, but the word is that they’re done for the window.

With PSR issues still looming, the Toffees have been careful in their recruitment and Moyes didn’t want to push the boat out on any targets unless he felt they’d significantly improve the squad.

By leaving themselves some PSR wiggle room, it sets Moyes up to have a much stronger summer transfer window.
