Everton secured another huge win in the Premier League on Saturday, thrashing Leicester City 4-0.
David Moyes continued his fine start to his second spell at the club, with Everton turning in one of their very best performances of the season at Goodison Park.
The tone was set immediately when Everton scoring inside 11 seconds, with Abdoulaye Doucoure scoring after a long ball from Jordan Pickford and flick on by Beto.
Beto, who’s struggled this season, certainly turned up yesterday in the absence of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, helping himself to two goals. Iliman Ndiaye also got on the scoresheet towards the end of the game.
Everton are now 10 points clear of the relegation zone which is massive, and the hope is that a couple of more wins will allow for a comfortable end to the 2024/25 season.
And if Beto can continue to play like he did yesterday, Everton fans can certainly expect that kind of end to the campaign.
Shay Given lauds ‘unplayable’ Beto after Everton’s win over Leicester

Beto was the man to replace Calvert-Lewin against Brighton, and Moyes decided to turn to the Guinea-Bissau international from the start against Leicester.
And he certainly justified his manager’s show of faith.
Beto was a total handful for the shaky Leicester backline, and last night on Match of the Day, pundit Shay Given suggested he was actually ‘unplayable’ at times in the contest. The former goalkeeper also noticed that Beto seemed calmer than usual in front of goal.
He said: “Excuse the pun, they could have asked for a Beto start, could they with the big man flicking it on and Doucoure running off him from midfield.
“Beto was brilliant today, he really was unplayable at times.
“I like this shot here (on the first goal), because we’ve seen Beto in the past panic in front of goal. He looked nice and calm, and nice and cool, it’s a fantastic finish.
“He defended from the front as well, being awkward, being strong up top.
“But again the pressing from Beto, look at this. Not giving up, puts the keeper under pressure. It’s a poor clearance, but they’re right on the front foot.
“This is the third goal, look at this for a pass from Garner, the weight on that is unbelievable, and again how cool is Beto?!”
Brilliant Beto must find consistency
This was a top performance from Beto that Everton fans just haven’t seen often enough since he came to the club.
Fans appreciate his workhorse nature, but the lack of goals during his time at Goodison has been a real shame, considering he cost up to £30 million.
But there’s a chance now for Beto to really prove his worth for Everton.
With Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja both sidelined with injuries, the shirt is his for the time being.

It was claimed recently that Torino were ready to submit a late bid for Beto, so we’ll see what happens with the player in the coming hours.
But Beto has apparently not been trying to force an exit from Everton, and given how good he was against Leicester, his potential exit may now be much less likely.
