Everton have just seen a major development emerge in their potential takeover following The Friedkin Group’s withdrawl.
It has been a long and frustrating process for Everton fans but there could finally be some light at the end of the tunnel.
On Friday afternoon, Sean Dyche‘s side trained at Goodison Park ahead of their final pre-season friendly and by the afternoon a new bid had been lodged for the club.
The Toffees are now just a week out from their Premier League season opener and what a huge boost this would be for the fans ahead of the new campaign.
After over a year of trying, Everton could finally be headed towards new ownership with a fresh bid launched.

Everton see big takeover development involving John Textor
The Friedkin Group dropped out of the running last month following some serious financial backing of the club.
This all came following the collapse of 777 Group’s failed attempts to live up to their deadline to take over on Merseyside.
But it now seems as if a third party could now be closing in on securing exclusivity with Farhad Moshiri as a potential resolution nears.
According to The Guardian, John Textor has just entered back in the frame to potentially become the majority owner of Everton.
The Everton takeover saga could now be coming towards a conclusion with the American billionaire having now put forward his bid.
It is claimed the terms are on the same basis as what was put forward previously back at the beginning of June.
However, for Textor to become the majority owner at Goodison Park he would need to offload his shares of Crystal Palace.
Everton could finally see takeover completed
There are a couple of issues with this potential takeover with Textor and his other investors slightly concerned by some of the investments made by other parties.
Around £200m was given in loans by 777 which could cause an issue on top of Textor’s involvement with Palace.
The American is believed to own around 45% of Crystal Palace, although it is believed Textor feels he could easily offload those shares.
With the new campaign just a week away, this is exactly what Everton fans needed to provide them with some further optimism ahead of the new campaign.
