Everton have had a solid summer so far in the transfer window but there could still be time to add to their attacking line.

Sean Dyche has been boosted by the addition of four new faces at Goodison Park this summer and they have all made a bright start to life at Everton.

Defender Jake O’Brien has already netted twice in his opening two games and Jesper Lindstrom also scored a stunning free kick on his debut.

Iliman Ndiaye has been added to bolster the options up top but there remains a lot of uncertainty surrounding the future of some of Everton’s other forwards.

The Toffees have been linked with further signings before the deadline at the end of the month.

But there is now one player who Everton look set to miss out on with his future looking set to be at another Premier League club.

Sean Dyche decision sees Everton miss out on attacker

There has been a lot of speculation surrounding the future of Dominic Calvert-Lewin this summer with just one year remaining on his deal.

The former England international has now been linked with a move away from Merseyside this summer.

Newcastle United were showing an interest in Calvert-Lewin earlier this summer with a resolution not found over his contract.

However, more recently, the future of Beto has also been up in the air with the striker receiving interest from across Europe.

Atalanta were showing an interest in Beto recently, but it has now been reported by the Liverpool Echo that Dyche has prevented that from happening.

Everton were also showing an interest in signing the ‘complete’ El Bilal Toure from Atalanta to bolster their attacking options.

But with a deal for Beto off the cards, a new development has emerged as the Atalanta striker looks to have found a new club.

According to L’Equipe, Bournemouth have now made their move to sign the £26m striker as they look set to lose their own striker.

What Sean Dyche has previously said about Beto

Everton only signed Beto last summer and he has struggled to really nail down any kind of impressive form.

The Portuguese forward was only able to provide a return of five goals across his 37 appearances in all competitions last season.

But Dyche has had some positive things to say about Beto on the back of his initial showings in an Everton shirt.

‘He’s adapted very quickly, done very well tonight. With all due respect, the Premier League is different, but he’s shown the rawness, the pace and the effect that he can have on a team,’ he said.

Given Dyche has looked to keep ahold of Beto, the Everton boss must be encouraged by what he has seen with the striker scoring twice in the latest friendly against Motherwell.
