There’s a lot of discourse in the Everton fanbase over whether it’s time to move on from David Moyes.
David Moyes has done a great job in steadying the ship, and he deserves immense credit for that, but the team must take the next step forward.
Moyes was backed with a record spend last summer, and 10 new signings have been added to his squad this season.

But the Scotsman has failed to integrate them into the side as he’s placed most of his trust in the experienced players who have been here for years.
That’s certainly stunted the growth of this side, so the Friedkin Group should consider replacing him this summer.
With that said, Bournemouth have already shown Everton the blueprint to follow.
Everton can learn from Bournemouth’s success
It was only a few years ago that Bournemouth were at a complete crossroads.
Gary O’Neil had just steered the club to a 15th-place finish, successfully completing his remit of avoiding relegation.
And yet, owner Bill Foley made the bold and controversial decision to sack O’Neil at the end of the 2022/23 season.
“This has been a difficult decision,” the Bournemouth owner stated.
“It has been made with great consideration to best position ourselves ahead of the coming season. Gary will go on to have a long career as a head coach or manager, but we feel that, at this moment in time, a change is in the best interests of this football club.”
Bournemouth showed great ambition by bringing in Andoni Iraola, and it’s turned out to be an inspired appointment as the club now have a chance of qualifying for the Champions League this season.
Relating it back to Everton, this is the blueprint the Friedkin Group should look at, rather than the lazy comparisons to what happened at West Ham.

There has been a narrative that Toffees fans should be careful what they wish for by calling for Moyes to go, as West Ham now look set to suffer relegation two years after the Scotsman left.
Whilst there is an element of truth in that, the Friedkins simply cannot compare the two situations.
The Hammers have faced PSR challenges, whilst Everton are in a really strong financial position to push on to the next level.
They are in the same boat Bournemouth were a few years ago, in fact, they’re actually much better placed to take the next step.
Indeed, the Toffees should only replace Moyes for a manager who is a notable upgrade, and that man could be Iraola.
A telling few weeks lie ahead on Merseyside.
