Everton produced a pitiful performance against Sunderland on Sunday afternoon.
David Moyes’ men didn’t look like a team that needed a win to keep their hopes of European qualification alive.
Everton were undone in the second half when Sunderland made proactive substitutions, so Moyes must take some accountability for the defeat.
How do you even sum that up? 😡
Everton end their home campaign on a whimper 😫
After the game, Toffees supporters sent a pretty stern message to the CEO Angus Kinnear, and they all said similar things.

Everton fans urge Angus Kinnear to sack David Moyes
Replying to the TalkingPoint below, many Everton fans have called for Kinnear to sack Moyes and bring in a more progressive manager.
What would you say to Angus Kinnear after THAT loss to Sunderland? 😤
Something has to change… 😭
- “Moyes has to go. We have just no ideas under Moyes. We need a more attack-minded coach.”
- “Sack Moyes immediately. The last 6 games without a win is all on him! Burnt out our best players due to the lack of use of the squad and lack of and too late subs! He’s another Dyche.”
- “You do know Angus, there are other coaches available.”
- “Overdue… time for a new manager.”
- “At least 6 new, better players or we are in massive trouble next season.”
- “We need some serious recruitment in the summer, it’s just as well we aren’t in Europe as it would have been embarrassing with this squad.”
Some Toffees supporters want Andoni Iraola to replace Moyes, with the Spaniard leaving Bournemouth at the end of the season.
That seems unlikely, though, as Kinnear came out in support of Moyes earlier this week.
“Whilst the media and other fanbases clamour for frequent managerial change, we value the stability that David brings and the ability this gives the whole Club to plan for the long term,” the Everton CEO wrote in the Official Matchday Programme.
There’s no doubt Moyes has done a solid job by stabilising the club, but more should be expected after he broke the club’s biggest ever net spend last summer.
The Scotsman shelled out £97m (based on initial fees) on nine new signings, and yet the Toffees have only improved their points tally by one since last season.
