Everton are looking at a number of players in the Championship.
The Championship has always been a place David Moyes has been keen to recruit from, so it’s hardly surprising to see Everton linked with several second-tier stars.
The Toffees are trying to sign Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough at the moment, and Southampton’s Shea Charles is also on their shortlist.
After watching him for England vs Croatia, I’m convinced he’d be the perfect right-back signing this summer! 🔥
Moyes has also had his eye on Sorba Thomas at Stoke City following his impressive season, registering 23 goal involvements.
Now, a fresh report has claimed that a Championship promotion favourite are working on a potential replacement for a wide player linked to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

West Ham appear to be working on replacement for Everton target Jarrod Bowen
Over the weekend, it was reported that Everton are considering a £20m bid for West Ham United winger Jarrod Bowen.
It’s understood that Bowen is open to joining the Toffees and reuniting with his former manager David Moyes.
Now, The Athletic believe West Ham are considering a move to sign Brighton’s right-winger Amario Cozier-Duberry, which suggests they may be preparing for Bowen’s exit.
Athletic journalist Roshane Thomas wrote: “West Ham are interested in Brighton winger Amario Cozier-Duberry.
“The 21-year-old helped Bolton Wanderers gain promotion to the Championship during a season-long loan and was nominated for the EFL League One player of the year award.
“Cozier-Duberry, a long-standing target for West Ham, has two years remaining on his contract and discussions have been held over an extension.”
What would you be doing with Nathan Patterson this summer if you were Angus Kinnear? 👋
Surely the writing is on the wall now?
Given Cozier-Duberry operates in the same position as Bowen and even has similar traits, often cutting in on his favoured left foot, this very much feels like a potential replacement signing.
The main stumbling block for Everton is agreeing a fee with West Ham, as they reportedly want a substantial sum to sanction his sale.
A £50m price tag has been mooted for Bowen, but perhaps a deal in the region of £40m could be agreed.
Whether the Friedkin Group are willing to go to that figure for a 29-year-old, who turns 30 this year, remains to be seen.
