Everton are sniffing around the transfer market for a new face to add to the striker department.
David Moyes has often been critical of Beto this season, while Everton fans want Thierno Barry sold as the Frenchman has largely struggled to settle, even receiving boos during the 3-0 win over Chelsea.
Nicolas Jackson is an option for Everton – although any deal hinged on whether Bayern Munich would trigger their option to buy the Senegal international from Chelsea this summer.
It is now clear this clause will not be activated.
Sunday marks the final home game of the season for Everton! 😳
How have you found the first season at the new home of the Blues? 🏟️
Bayern Munich say goodbye to Nicolas Jackson
Before a 5-1 win over Koln on the final day of the Bundesliga season, the Bavarians bid farewell to the Senegalese loanee.
Bayern Munich presented Jackson with a goodbye present to thank him for his efforts on loan at the Allianz Arena this term, where he has scored 11 goals in 34 appearances while largely playing second fiddle to the talismanic Harry Kane.

If Everton are to sign the former Villarreal striker, The Friedkin Group will still need to agree a fee with Chelsea of course.
However, the main hurdle for Everton in this deal was the threat of Bayern Munich activating the purchase clause and keeping the 24-year-old around.
There is – however – admiration for Jackson at Newcastle. Christian Falk even recently hinted that Chelsea could use the man born in Djibonker as a makeweight in a move for Anthony Gordon.
Jackson – who Chelsea signed from Villarreal for £32m in June 2023 – appears to have no future at Stamford Bridge, with Joao Pedro now an undisputed starter, while Emmanuel Emegha has already agreed to join from Strasbourg.
Rank these striker options from best to worst… 😬
There's going to be some different opinions on this! 🫣
Chelsea also have Liam Delap – another player Everton like – so if Jackson does work his way back in at Stamford Bridge, it may open the door to the former Ipswich striker moving to the Hill Dickinson Stadium instead.
