Everton optimistic over Liam Delap summer transfer

Despite his struggles in west London this season, Everton feel they can improve Delap in the same way they did with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

A report from Flashscore has suggested the Toffees are growing in confidence that Delap could be signed this summer.

Although there is competition from the likes of Newcastle and Leeds United, Everton feel Delap could become a key part of their side.

There is now an expectation that Delap’s departure in the coming months has become likely.

Last summer, there were a lot of Everton supporters wanting to sign Delap when he became available at Ipswich Town.

That is the striker Everton feel they can still sign; the one who scored 12 Premier League goals for the Tractor Boys.

However, the striker will have a lot of people to prove wrong if he is to move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium this summer.

The 2025/26 campaign has not been an easy one for him, with just one goal in the league for the Blues.

Delap may not be the statement striker signing some fans will want this summer, but he’s certainly a player Everton feel they could land.
