As England prepare to face Argentina in the second semi-final at the World Cup, Everton continue to work towards the new season.
The Toffees players are currently up in Scotland and being put through their paces.
There are still a number of players to return, with some having been at the World Cup and of course, Jordan Pickford is still there.
The game could be another opportunity to watch Djed Spence, with Everton having been linked in recent weeks.
But news involving Cristian Romero could hinder any pursuit by Everton.
Inter Milan want Cristian Romero as well as Everton target Djed Spence

Earlier this week, Inter Milan thought they were signing Anan Khalaili to be their new right-back.
However, he failed a medical, and that move will not be happening now.
In response, Inter have shown interest in Spence, which is not good news for Everton, who have been hoping to land the 25-year-old themselves.
Just focusing on Everton’s right-back search, who should the club bring in this summer and why? 🤔
From Spence, to White, to Norton-Cuffy, there have been links to so many players so far…
But they now want Romero too, according to Fabrizio Romano on his YouTube channel.
Apparently, Spurs have encouraged Inter to look at the possibility of signing Romero, with Inter seeking an experienced centre-back.
But why is this a potential blow for Everton?
If the two clubs are in dialogue over Romero, then they are naturally going to be talking about Spence as well. Quite possibly, there is even a chance of doing a double deal there.
And while Everton would be a great move for Spence, it’s possible he might be more open to a move to Inter if Romero is going to go there.

It will be interesting to see how the two players get on in tonight’s big semi-final. No doubt Inter officials will be paying close attention.
Everton need to start making tracks soon though regarding a new right-back.
Pre-season is starting and this is the biggest priority. That a new player still hasn’t come in yet is slightly concerning.
