Beto rescued a dramatic late point for Everton against Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium.
Everton were quite poor for large portions of the Brighton clash, but they came on a lot stronger in the second half.
David Moyes’ side had to really dig deep on the south coast and eventually got their reward in the 97th minute.
Beto only took 10 minutes to do what Barry couldn’t in almost 90 minutes! 🤩
There is no way Everton can now sell Beto… is there? 🫣
Beto managed to turn one home in virtually the last kick of the game, moving Everton up to eighth place in the Premier League table.
That said, speaking post-match, Moyes was able to provide an exciting transfer update ahead of deadline day on Monday.

David Moyes hopes to get a new signing in before the transfer deadline
In Friday’s press conference, Moyes admitted that Everton are ‘unlikely’ to make a new signing this winter.
“We’re certainly looking. It’s not like we’re shying away from it. I would say it’s probably less likely than likely,” the Scotsman stated yesterday.
What should be Everton’s top priority before the deadline on Monday? 😬
The clock is ticking… ⏰
But, after the Brighton game, Moyes’ stance appeared to change, as talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook revealed that the Everton boss is hopeful of getting at least one through the door.
“David Moyes has just confirmed to me on @talkSPORT he hopes to sign at least one player before Monday. Loan offer in to #CFC for Tyrique George.”
Everton have bid for Tyrique George, with the proposal consisting of an initial loan with an option to buy in the summer.
It’s looking like Tyrique George or Harry Wilson
As well as George, Everton are also exploring a deal to sign Harry Wilson, with El Bobble confirming the club’s interest today.
The Toffees insider posted: “The Toffees have also shown an interest in Fulham’s Harry Wilson over the past 48 hours.”
At present, George looks the more likely transfer of the two, but Wilson is reportedly open to moving back to Merseyside.
So, it could depend on player preference. Benfica, managed by Jose Mourinho, have also been eyeing George.
