Everton are in the market to make some real changes in the summer under the Friedkins.

The Toffees are going to have their hand forced in some sense with so many players set to leave Everton at the end of their contracts.

David Moyes is going to be backed by the Friedkins in what is going to be their first real opportunity to splash some cash.

Considering the number of players set to leave the club, that is going to be needed.

Everton could even lose Idrissa Gana Gueye despite being keen to hand him a new deal before the summer.

With the stadium move on the horizon, this summer is going to offer a clean slate for the Toffees going into the new season.

David Moyes desperate to sign West Ham’s Tomas Soucek for Everton

Everton are looking to address four areas in the window over the course of the summer.

Transfer plans are being put in place now with the Toffees almost mathematically safe from Premier League relegation.

According to one club insider on The West Ham Way, Moyes is desperate to bring Tomas Soucek to Merseyside when the market opens.

The Hammers are understood to be open to this possibility as they feel they could attract a decent sum for the £19m Czech international.

Everton have shown strong interest in Soucek already this year, but it seems the arrival of Moyes is really beginning to push the possibility.

The midfielder currently has two years remaining on his deal at the London Stadium.

Soucek has even hailed Everton fans and suggested that Goodison Park is the perfect place for him to play his football.

An interesting few months lie ahead in the transfer window, with a lot of work needing to be done.

Tomas Soucek could be Everton’s Abdoulaye Doucoure upgrade

On the weekend, Abdoulaye Doucoure asked for a new Everton contract, with the midfielder set to leave at the end of the term.

However, Moyes may now be looking to upgrade the Mali midfielder with his former player from his time at West Ham.

That being said, Moyes did praise Doucoure following his winning goal against Nottingham Forest.

But the Toffees could find an upgrade for the 32-year-old in the West Ham man.

Moyes knows Soucek very well and it will be interesting to see how far the Friedkins are willing to back their 61-year-old manager in the market.
