There are only three games remaining to be played at Everton’s Goodison Park before the move this summer.

The season has flown past and fans will now be scrambling for tickets to get one final taste of Goodison Park.

Everton return to home soil this weekend with a Premier League clash against the reigning champions, Manchester City.

After that, there will be games against Ipswich Town and then Southampton to bid farewell to the Old Lady.

But there is one issue, the Premier League have not confirmed the date for the final game to be played against the Saints.

It has been suggested Goodison Park’s finale could take place on a Monday night, which has not gone down well.

And the Premier League are now being pressed for an answer.

Premier League’s reaction to Everton’s Goodison Park finale date

Henry Winter has reacted to Everton’s frustration as the supporters trust has written to the Premier League demanding a response.

After returning in January, David Moyes has steered Everton to Premier League survival which has taken the pressure off these final games.

But BBC Sport journalist Giulia Bould has now pushed the Premier League for an answer as fans wait to book travel arrangements for the final-ever game at Goodison.

‘On this, I have asked the Premier League for a statement/update on when the TV picks & timings will be announced for the penultimate games of the season,’ she said.

Typically, this would suggest the Premier League have refused to comment on the matter.

It is not a good look for the Premier League who are showing a clear disregard to the match going fans.

Golf star Tommy Fleetwood has told Everton fans to enjoy Goodison Park in the final three home games of the season.

But it is not just Everton fans who are being punished by this as Southampton fans face a seriously long trip up to Merseyside and have not yet been able to plan for it.

Everton could hold big Goodison Park finale

Club legend Peter Reid thinks Everton have huge plans for Goodison Park’s sendoff.

And it would certainly be a fitting tribute to the Old Lady which has been Everton’s home now for so many years.

A planning request has gone in to Liverpool council to extend the club’s licensing until later in the evening, which may suggest a Monday fixture is in the offering.

But fans will be hoping to see the game against Southampton played over the weekend so they can really make the most of the final game to be played at Goodison.

Moyes is now excited for Bramley-Moore Dock, but there will be a lot of emotions on that final visit against the Saints.
