Everton are keen to sign a new right-back, and already have a shortlist of names.
The Daily Mail believe Raoul Bellanova of Atalanta and Strasbourg star Guela Doue are under consideration at the Hill Dickinson Stadium – while Arsenal No.4 Ben White and Neco Williams of Nottingham Forest are also on the list, albeit seen as more ambitious targets.
It is said that Aaron Wan-Bissaka was also proposed as David Moyes aims to replace Seamus Coleman, but the prospect of signing the DR Congo international from West Ham was ‘knocked back’ at Everton.

Everton have ‘knocked back’ the chance to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka
The £15m man is on the market after West Ham were relegated from the Premier League.
However, Moyes – who was no longer in charge at the London Stadium when the Hammers signed the defender from Manchester United in August 2024 – has decided against bringing the former Crystal Palace star to Everton.
No reason is given by the Daily Mail, but it is understood Wan-Bissaka was put to Everton by his own representatives, rather than the Toffees making the move themselves.
The report suggests that the aforementioned Doue or Bellanova are therefore the two most realistic options for Everton this summer as things stand.
The Daily Mail say Nottingham Forest intend to keep Neco Williams, while it is said that luring White away from Arsenal will be “difficult” this summer.
Everton do already have a right-back to call upon in Nathan Patterson.
However, Moyes hardly used the Scotland international last season as a natural centre-back in Jake O’Brien was preferred out wide.
Patterson – who has interest from Sheffield United – made just three starts in the Premier League, and only seven appearances in total.
Could Nathan Patterson have offered Everton more from right-back than Jake O’Brien? 🤔
Even a central midfielder in James Garner was preferred at right-back occasionally last season instead of the former Rangers star, so it would be a huge shock if Everton failed to sign a new option to play on the right of the backline.
