Although the decision to completely alienate Patterson may have baffled a large section of the fanbase, perhaps Moyes’ decision is validated after seeing the level of interest emerging for Patterson.
So far, there has been no Premier League interest reported, which may well support the 63-year-old’s apparent feeling that Patterson was simply not up to the level he demanded.
