So, Premier League safety is virtually secure, which certainly vindicates the Friedkin Group’s decision to sack Sean Dyche for David Moyes.

The former West Ham United boss has implemented a much more attacking system and he’s been able to improve a number of players who Dyche wasn’t able to get a tune out of.

With that said, Moyes singled out one Everton play in his post-match presser last night and noted that he’s only getting better each game.

Moyes says Beto is only getting better

Speaking after the Palace win, Moyes hailed Beto and noted that he’s only getting better each week as he continues to get to know him.

“Everyone needs an opportunity in life and in football you need that chance,” the 61-year-old said.

“I think he is getting better and we are beginning to understand him a bit more. I have got to say, he has done brilliantly well.”

The 27-year-old started just one game under Dyche before he got he sack last month, but now, he is Moyes’ man main and he’s certainly repaying that trust.

Beto has now netted four goals in his last three games.

Beto stats vs Crystal Palace

Beto’s all-round game seems to be improving game on game and that’s reflected by his underlying data against Crystal Palace, as per Sofascore.

It was near enough the complete centre-forward’s display, as he won a whopping 18 duels, with most of them aerially.

He’s turning out to be the perfect number nine for Moyes, who must now be glad he decided against sanctioning his sale in January.

Beto was heavily linked with Torino during the transfer window.
