Everton’s fine run of form continued on Saturday evening with another three points on the road against Crystal Palace.
The job which David Moyes has done on Merseyside cannot be underestimated with four wins from his opening six Premier League games.
After losing his opening game against Aston Villa, Everton have gone five league games unbeaten under Moyes.
Sean Dyche has been embarrassed by Moyes’ start at Everton, with the Scotsman already surpassing the 53-year-old’s league wins this season.
It was January signing Carlos Alcaraz who sealed three points against Palace as the Toffees capped off what has been an exhausting week.
And the game has seen a 20-year record broken just seven games into Moyes’ return to Goodison Park.

Everton complete double over Crystal Palace
Oliver Glasner praised Everton striker Beto after the game, claiming his were simply unable to handle the Portuguese striker.
Palace was the first side Everton beat earlier this season and have now taken six points from the Eagles this season.
This was the first time Everton have been able to complete the double over Crystal Palace in the Premier League since the 2004/05 season.
Ironically, Moyes was the manager when Everton last took six points off the Eagles.
Everton fans already have a song for Alcaraz as he has helped them to leapfrog Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League table.
Ironically, those two sides battle it out in north London on Sunday afternoon.
David Moyes was annoyed with Everton at half-time
The Toffees were able to take a lead into the break with the deadlock coming against the run of play through Beto’s neat finish.
Moyes said Everton were not safe from relegation ahead of the game, but another three points has certainly taken them a big step closer.
Speaking to the media after the game, Moyes admitted he felt the need to unleash his frustration on his players at half time.
“I was annoyed with them at half-time because I didn’t think they played well in the first half, and I wanted us to play better,” said the 61-year-old.
“But it took a real resilient performance to make sure we didn’t concede a second goal, because Crystal Palace kept the ball alive, kept putting it back into the box, kept putting us under pressure a lot and fortunately we got a goal which got us the victory.”
